Diese ÖNORM dient zur rechnerischen Weiterbehandlung des gemäß ÖNORM B 6015-1 bestimmten Messwertes der Wärmeleitfähigkeit, wobei die Einflüsse des "praktischen Feuchtigkeitsgehaltes" sowie der Alterung berücksichtigt werden. Die Einflüsse der Verarbeitung (z.B. des Fugenanteiles) und des zusätzlichen Wärmetransportes infolge Wasserdampfdiffusion und Luftströmung sowie der Dickentoleranzen auf die Wärmedämmung bleiben dabei unberücksichtigt. Diese Einflüsse müssen bei der Berechnung des Wärmeschutzes von Bauteilen bei den jeweiligen Materialien gesondert berücksichtigt werden. Bei geschichteten Bauteilen, die aus Materialien unterschiedlicher Wärmeleitfähigkeit zusammengesetzt sind und deren Schichtung rechtwinkelig zum Wärmestrom verläuft, ist der Wärmedurchlasswiderstand gemäß ÖNORM B 6015-3 zu bestimmen.
