This guideline is valid for the commissioning, decommissioning and recommissioning as well as the discontinuation of natural gas pipelines and stations according to the Natural Gas Law and deals with organizational and safety measures for the work on operating natural gas pipelines and stations.
This guideline is applicable for facilities transporting gas in accordance with OVGW Guideline G 31 gas installations independent of the operating pressure, diameter, and material.
Regulations by law or other definitions are not being affected by this regulation.
This guideline is not valid for gas installations after the isolation valve.
