The present Austrian Standard specifies requirements for and the design of signs used in organised skiing areas. Furthermore, it represents the basis for the classification of the different levels of difficulty as well as for marking and labelling within the organised skiing area. The specifications of this ÖNORM do not cover areas where the road traffic regulations are applicable or which concern occupational safety, transport of dangerous goods or fire protection.
