ÖNORM B 8110-2

This ÖNORM is applicable to the building physics planning of buildings and to the verification of the fitness for use of existing buildings with respect to the moisture exposure from within the building. The present ÖNORM provides a detailed calculation method and simplified calculation methods for the dimensioning of components for avoiding damage-causing condensation or the mold-promoting humidity on the room-side surface of exterior components as well as for determining damage-causing condensate in the component interior with planar components with surface-parallel construction material layers. Buildings with special constructions, such as air-flow constructions (referred to in the literature with "pore ventilation" or en: "active envelopes"), are not the subject of this ÖNORM. Section 6 of this ÖNORM also contains the assumptions on the indoor air conditions, which have to be taken into account while dimensioning of the structures in consideration of the room designation. The interior climate desired by the user is dealt within ÖNORM B 8110-2, Supplement 4. The specifications in this ÖNORM are based on or in accordance with the determining of ÖNORM EN ISO 13788 and ÖNORM EN 15026.
