Diese ÖNORM regelt das Verfahren, mit dem von akkreditierten Prüfstellen der Nennwert der Wärmeleitfähigkeit, wie er in ÖNORM B 6015-2 definiert ist, für Baumaterialien, die nicht durch entsprechende Produktnormen geregelt sind, und dessen Einhaltung zu ermitteln sind. Dieser Nennwert der Wärmeleitfähigkeit kann zum Vergleich verschiedener Baumaterialien und Dämmstoffe herangezogen werden (z.B. U-Wert, R-Wert). Berechnungen sind mit entsprechenden Bemessungswerten, definiert in ÖNORM B 6015-2, durchzuführen.
