ÖNORM B 3692

This Austrian Standard specifies rules for design and execution of waterproofing for buildings with soil contact, wet rooms (sealing on the level of shell construction) and containers with bitumen sheets and synthetic sheets and liquid waterproofing material and polymer modified bituminous thick coatings. It contains determinations about suitable subsoil, details of connections and terminations as well as requirements for the formation of joints and details of design and execution of individual functional layers such as undercoat/primer, waterproofing, protective coating and thermal insulation. Not included in this ÖNORM are - design and execution of roof waterproofing (see ÖNORM B 3691), - design and execution of pond or swimming pool waterproofing, - design and execution of structural components with water impermeable concrete, - design and execution of waterproofing with bentonite and highly reactive Spray-On waterproofing, - drainage and backfilling of the excavation. Waterproofing with force-locked connection with asphalt concrete protection layer are regulated by the RVS 03.15.12. The procedural and contractual provisions governing the execution of building seals are regulated in ÖNORM B 2209
