ÖNORM B 3691

This Austrian Standard specifies rules for design and execution of roof waterproofing with bitumen sheets and synthetic sheets, sealing membrane and liquid waterproofing material. It contains determinations on permitted roof inclination and suitable subsoil, details of connections and terminations as well as requirements for formation of joints and details of the design and execution of the individual roof layers such as primer, vapor barrier, thermal insulation, waterproofing, compensation layer, separating and sliding layer, gravel filling material. Floor covering, greenings and building protection of sealing and roof structures with insulated, between vapor barrier and sealing, wood supporting structures are not the subject of this ÖNORM. Roof structures with a useful life of less than five years of age are not subject to this ÖNORM. Design and execution of vertical and horizontal of waterproofing for buildings with soil contact or below ground level adjacent areas and waterproofing in wet rooms are not covered by this ÖNORM. Waterproofing with force-locked connection with asphalt concrete protection layer are regulated by the RVS 03.15.12. The procedural and contractual provisions governing the execution of building seals are regulated in ÖNORM B 2209.
