ÖNORM A 7010-2

This Austrian standard defines general requirements for data management for the systematic collection, storage, retrieval and dissemination of data for facility/object management and thus is connected to the data classifications defined in the ÖNORMEN A 7010 -1, B 1800, B 1801-1, B 1801-2 and B 1801-3. A general systematic structure is defined, named data storage organization (German: Datenhaltungsordnung (DHO)). This structure concerns all clients and applies to data and information in project planning, design, operation, use, and management of objects. It supports all business processes of building construction and use and forms a general framework for orientation for standardized names or codes. The object data throughout the whole life cycle are to be stored in an object and use-specific application of DHO to be established. Thus, each data holder has to determine an individual data management and retrieval strategy. When storing data in compliance with the rules of the DHO a data structure is created, which can be used for agreements, checks, comparability, object hand-overs, user and consumer information as well as for object use and object operation. This is especially supported by the property books according to ÖNORM A 7010-5, which are based on the organization structure of this Austrian standard.
