This Austrian standard offers a practical guide for simple comparison of performance indicators of objects to provide an overview, without the effort of coordination with third parties. This enables an initial comparison with other objects and organizations. This Austrian standard applies to the comparison of both owned or leased existing buildings and to buildings in the planning or development phase. Possible practical applications include for example the presentation of a single object, comparisons in competitions, the description of planned objects or objects during development, comparisons of more objects within a portfolio, the comparison of one and the same object over time and comparisons with other objects or benchmarks. This Austrian standard is intended mainly for the presentation and comparison of complete buildings. It may also be used for the presentation and the comparison of used units, which are part of a building. Experience shows that in that case numerous detailed questions arise, which are not addressed in the present Austrian standard and should therefore be specified individually by the user, if necessary.
