Diese Technische Richtlinie gilt für die Überwachung von Erdgasleitungen, die mit Betriebsdrücken > 5 bar betrieben werden. Ausgenommen sind Leitungen, die der Erdgasproduktion und Aufbereitung dienen. Die Anwendung für diese Leitungen kann sinngemäß erfolgen. Diese Richtlinie gilt nicht für den Betrieb, die Wartung und Instandsetzung. Für die Überwachung von Erdgasleitungen mit Betriebsdrücken <= 5 bar gilt die ÖVGW-Richtlinie G 59/1.
