ÖVGW F G21

The technical rules for liquefied petroleum gas installations (F G-series) are applicable for all LPG installations independent of their usage (private, commercial, industrial or agricultural) which are supplied with gas according to 3rd gas-family. The ÖVGW-guideline F G21 is applicable for the planning, construction, change and completion testing of pipelines in LPG installations with a maximal operating pressure (MOP) up to 25 bar. It starts with the connection to the fixed or mobile pressure vessel and includes the pressure regulator, safety devices and measurement devices. All used expression have to be interpreted as overpressure if not defined otherwise. The technical rules for LPG installations are not applicable for vehicles and boats. For pipelines with MOP > 0,5 bar the dual pressure equipment regulation (DDGV) respectively the pressure equipment inspection ordinance (DGÜW-V) have to be applied in addition to this guideline. The classification follows DDGV, Annex II, diagram 6 (see also ÖVGW-guideline F G11). This guideline is also applicable for pipelines, operated at liquid phase. Otherwise provided legal regulations and official notifications are not affected by the present guidelines.
