Dieser Teil von ÖVE/ÖNORM EN 61243 gilt für handgehaltene zweipolige Spannungsprüfer mit ihrem Zubehör (Krokodilklemmen und abnehmbare Verbindungsleitungen) für die Verwendung in Kontakt mit Teilen von elektrischen Netzen: – für Wechselspannungen bis 1 000 V mit Nennfrequenzen von 16 2/3 Hz bis 500 Hz und/oder – für Gleichspannungen bis 1 500 V. Kontaktelektrodenverlängerungen werden durch diese Norm nicht abgedeckt. Spannungsprüfer nach dieser Norm sind für die Verwendung bei trockener oder feuchter Umgebung in Innen-räumen und im Freien vorgesehen. Sie sind nicht für die Verwendung unter Regenbedingungen vorgesehen. Spannungsprüfer nach dieser Norm sind nicht für den ununterbrochenen Betrieb geeignet. Spannungsprüfer nach dieser Norm sind für die Verwendung bis 2 000 m über Seehöhe vorgesehen.
