Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen fest und gibt Empfehlungen für die Auslegung und die Installation von Verbindungen (Strombrücken) zwischen verschiedenen elektrisch leitfähigen Elementen in Gebäuden und anderen baulichen Anlagen während ihres Baus oder ihrer Sanierung, in denen Informationstechnik (IT) und im Allgemeinen Telekommunikationseinrichtungen installiert werden sollen, um a) das Risiko elektrischer Gefährdungen für die korrekte Funktion dieser Geräte und der informationstechnischen Verkabelung zu verringern; b) den telekommunikationstechnischen Anlagen eine zuverlässige Signalbezugsebene bereitzustellen, die die Störfestigkeit gegen elektromagnetische Beeinflussung (EMI) verbessern kann.
