Diese ÖNORM ist für die Durchführung der Abnahmeprüfung an zahnmedizinischen Röntgeneinrichtungen nach deren Errichtung, Instandsetzung und Änderung anzuwenden. Diese ÖNORM beschreibt die Durchführung der Abnahmeprüfung zur Festlegung der durch die Röntgeneinrichtung bedingten Bildqualität und der dazu benötigten Dosis an zahnmedizinischen Röntgeneinrichtungen einschließlich der Filmverarbeitung. Aus den im Rahmen der Abnahmeprüfung durchgeführten Messungen ergeben sich auch Daten zur allfälligen späteren Abschätzung der Strahlenexposition von Patienten. Im Rahmen der Abnahmeprüfung sind die Ausgangswerte (Bezugswerte) für die Konstanzprüfung zu ermitteln.
