ÖNORM S 2077

This document specifies the requirements and test methods as well as quality assurance measures for concrete protective liners (CPLs) with a minimum nominal thickness of 3.0 mm and their installation. Plastic seals made by means of CPLs are considered to be structural, homogeneous concrete protection measures with a positive connection for the corrosion proofing and sealing of concrete buildings in all those cases in which solid, liquid or gaseous (e.g. radon) media occur on the side of the sealing and elevated operational stress exists, for example, because of — the occurrence of water-polluting liquids (e.g. leachate from landfills), — abrasion, — the risk of concrete corrosion, — stress distribution (higher tension in the case of temperature changes), — pressure alternation (alternating push/pull action), exist. Examples of the use of CPLs (e.g. as groundwater protection measures) are given below: — Concrete basins, — Seepage water storage basins, — shaft structures, — channels, pipelines, flumes, — collectors, — foundation seals, — catch basins. This document can also be used for groundwater protection measures and the construction of water storage basins and liquid manure basins, and the like. Furthermore, this document specifies the professional installation and quality assurance for the installation of BSP. The verification of the stability of all components of the sealing system is not the subject of this document. This proof must be provided in advance of the work. The following regulations apply to professional installers according to ÖNORM S 2078 and to inspection bodies for the installation of BSP and its connection to pipes, shafts and structures.
