Diese ÖNORM ist für die Prüfung des Wirkungsgrades und des Druckabfalls von nichtabgedeckten Sonnenkollektoren mit Absorbern aus Kunststoff anzuwenden, die der Sammlung und Übertragung von Niedertemperaturwärme im Bereich von +4 °C bis +80 °C dienen. Die Auswertung der Messungen zur Darstellung der Wirkungsgradkurve nehmen einen wichtigen Platz in dieser Norm ein. Im Anhang A sind normativ die Anforderungen an den Prüfbericht sowie die Stoffdaten festgelegt.
