Gaszentralen, die mit Versandblättern versorgt werden, sind nach dieser ÖNORM auszuführen, einzurichten und zu betreiben. Versandbehälter nach dieser Norm (z. B. Flaschenbündel oder Gefäße) unterliegen als Druckbehälter der Gruppe II den Bestimmungen der Dampfkesselverordnung. Alle jene Gase, für welche diese Norm anzuwenden ist, sowie die dazugehörigen Anforderungen für Leitungen, Armaturen und Dichtungen sind in einer Tabelle zusammengefaßt. Bestimmungen über die gemeinsame Gasentnahme sowie besondere Anforderungen an die Leitungen sowie zusätzliche Anforderungen bei der Verwendung von Azetylen bzw. bei tiefgekühlten verflüssigten Gasen sind ebenfalls enthalten. Weiters sind Bestimmungen über die Prüfung und die Einrichtung von Gaszentralen bzw. die Anforderungen an die Räume, in welchen Gaszentralen errichtet werden, angegeben.
