This Austrian Standard includes terms and definitions in the field of general energy economy. However, mainly basic concepts belonging to different sectors of energy economy are dealt with. The objective of this Standard is to ensure a unified language use for the general political discussion on energetic items in Austria. For this purpose, concepts have been extracted from Directives and Regulations of the European Union, laws and ordinances of the Republic of Austria as well as of the Austrian Federal states, and adapted to the respective requirements.
