Diese ÖNORM beschreibt eine Methode zur Bestimmung von Ge- samtchlor mittels jodometrischer Titration. Die Methode ist für die Bestimmung von Konzentrationen von 0,70 mg/l bis 15 mg/l (etwa 0,01 mmol/l bis 0,21 mmol/l) Chlor, ausge- drückt als Cl2, geeignet. Anderen oxidierenden Substanzen, speziell Brom, Jod, Brom- amine, Jodamine, Ozon, Wasserstoffperoxid, Jodat, Bromat, Chromat, Chlordioxid, Chlorit, Nitrit, Eisen(III), Kup- fer(II) sowie Mangan(III) und höherwertige Manganverbindun- gen stören die Bestimmung.
