This document specifies general requirements for the sampling of soils and substrates of agricultural and forestry land, horticultural land as well as parks, ornamental and sports turf areas and the associated terminology. Detailed requirements for sampling are contained in ÖNORM L 1055 (sampling without maintaining the soil structure) and ÖNORM L 1051 (sampling while maintaining the soil structure). Requirements for sample transport, sample storage and further investigations are contained in ÖNORM L 1053.
