Valid
This document applies to all building services systems according to ÖNORM B 2110, where minimization of heat transfer from the conveying medium to the surroundings or vice versa is necessary, along with preventing the dew point from being exceeded on pipe and insulation surfaces. It specifically covers heating, hot water preparation, and solar systems, as well as cold water, refrigeration, and cooling water systems, and air duct systems in residential and non-residential buildings, defining the necessary characteristics of the respective thermal insulation. The requirements of this document apply to systems located inside or outside of buildings, or in the ground. Additionally, this document specifies the necessary corrosion protection for metallic pipe materials used in heating, cooling, and change-over lines. This document does not apply to district heating pipes (transport lines, distribution lines, house connection lines, and components as defined in ÖNORM B 2529). The house connection line ends at the first shut-off valve of the house station. Furthermore, this document does not apply to type-tested heat supply systems, certified storage systems according to ÖNORM EN 15332, ÖNORM EN 12897, and refrigerant lines. Piping and other components of a refrigerant circuit, as well as air ducts for process air (e.g., combustion air), are not covered by this document.
