Diese Norm beschreibt eine Methode zur Bestimmung der Wärmeformbeständigkeitstemperatur unter Last (Biegespannung) von hochfesten duroplastischen Laminaten und gepressten langfaserverstärkten Kunststoffen. Die Belastung ist nicht fest vorgeschrieben wie in Teil 2 dieser Norm, sondern sie ist eine Funktion der Biegefestigkeit oder einer festgelegten Festigkeit. Dadurch ist es möglich, die Methode auf Materialien mit einem großen Bereich von Festigkeiten und Biegemoduln anzuwenden.
