Enthalten sind die vom Hersteller zu erfüllenden Anforderungen, um die Sicherheit von Personen und Gegenständen während des Baus, des Transports, der Inbetriebnahme, des Betriebs, der Außerbetriebnahme und der Instandhaltung sicherzustellen, sowohl im Fall von vorhersehbaren Fehlern als auch bei Fehlfunktionen, die in den Ausrüstungen auftreten können. Nicht behandelt sind Niederdruck-Gießmaschinen, Kokillengießmaschinen und Wachsmodell-Spritzmaschinen.
