Diese Norm legt Leistungsanforderungen für Bauteile für ein- und mehrschalige System-Abgasanlagen mit Metallinnenrohren (Abschnitte der Abgasanlagen, Formstücke und Aufsätze, einschließlich der Halterungen) fest, welche zur Ableitung von Verbrennungsprodukten von Feuerstätten an die Außenluft verwendet werden. Sie enthält ebenfalls Anforderungen an die Kennzeichnung, die Herstelleranweisungen, die Produktinformationen und die Beurteilung der Konformität. Innenrohre und Verbindungsstücke aus Metall, die in dieser Norm nicht behandelt werden, sind in ÖNORM EN 1856-2 angegeben.
