Dieser Teil der EN 1852 legt Anforderungen an Vollwandrohre, Formstücke und das Rohrleitungssystem aus Polypropylen (PP) für Abwasserkanäle und -leitungen fest, die in erdverlegten Schwerkraftentwässerungssystemen ⎯ außerhalb der Gebäudestruktur (Anwendungskennzeichen U) sowie ⎯ innerhalb der Gebäudestruktur (Anwendungskennzeichen D) und außerhalb der Gebäudestruktur eingesetzt werden. Die Wahl des Anwendungsgebietes wird durch die Kennzeichnung U bzw. UD der Rohrleitungsteile angezeigt. Diese Norm gilt für Werkstoffe aus Polypropylen (PP) ohne mineralische Additive. Sie legt auch die Prüfparameter für die Prüfverfahren fest, auf die in dieser Norm verwiesen wird. Diese Norm enthält darüber hinaus Festlegungen für Nennweiten und Rohrserien und gibt Empfehlungen für die Auswahl der Einfärbung von Rohrleitungsteilen.
