Diese Norm legt Anforderungen fest für Kompensatoren mit metallischen Bälgen für Druckanwendungen, d. h. für maximal zulässigen Druck über 0,5 bar. Kompensatoren mit metallischen Bälgen werden als Bauteile in Rohrleitungen oder als Teile von Druckbehältern verwendet. Sie müssen nach dem Konformitätsbewertungsverfahren für das Druckgerät bewertet werden, in das sie eingebaut sind. Die Gefahrenanalyse und die Angabe der Kategorie müssen durch den Hersteller der Rohrleitung oder des Druckbehälters erfolgen.
