Diese Norm legt Anforderungen an Gemische für Softasphalt fest und behandelt die Auswahl der Bestandteile. Softasphalt ist ein Gemisch aus Weichbitumen und Gesteinskörnungen. Das Konzept umfasst einen weiten Bereich von Bitumenarten und verschiedene Zusammensetzungen. Softasphalt kann sowohl in normalen Mischwerken für Heißasphalt als auch in einfacheren ortsveränderlichen Anlagen, die speziell für den Zweck der Herstellung von Softasphalt konstruiert sind, produziert werden. Die Verwendung von Weichbitumen stellt eine ausreichende Flexibilität sicher.
