Diese ÖNORM legt die Anforderungen und Prüfbestimmungen sowie die Normbezeichnung für Kabelabdeckplatten aus PVC-U und PE-HD fest. Sie läßt auch Regenerate und/oder Recyclate als Werkstoffe zu. Für die Erzeugnisse ist eine eindeutige schwarze und beständige Beschriftung mit den wesentlichen Kenndaten vorgeschrieben: Sie beinhaltet einen Warnvermerk, ein Kennwort, Namen oder Firmenzeichen des Herstellers, den Prüfhinweis gemäß §3(2) Normengesetz, Ausführungsart und Werkstoff, Herstellungsjahr sowie allfällige weitere Hinweise. Neben einer Erstprüfung und einer Fremdüberwachung ist auch eine Eigenüberwachung durch den Hersteller während der Produktion vorgesehen.
