Die Dosen gemäß dieser ÖNORM können zur Montage von Schaltern, Steckdosen und ähnlichen elektrischen Geräten für Hausinstallationen verwendet werden. Es werden Einfach- und Mehrfachdosen sowie Abzweigdosen behandelt. Diese ÖNORM ist nicht für Unterputzdosen und nicht für solche Dosen anzuwenden, die mit den Geräten eine Einheit bilden.
