The objective of this Prestandard VORNORM ÖNORM is to define requirements for chopped miscanthus intended for energetic use. Miscanthus is a high-yielding C4 grass. This VORNORM ÖNORM represents a national supplement to VORNORM ÖNORM CEN/TS 14961 as well as to VORNORM ÖNORM CEN/TS 15234. For application of chopped miscanthus as fuel, tested heating boilers according to ÖNORM EN 303-5 shall be used. The legal limit values for emissions have to be observed.
