The requirements and test methods specified in this ÖNORM apply to "Heizöl extra leicht" ("Domestic fuel oil") and "Heizöl extra leicht - schwefelfrei" ("Domestic fuel oil - sulphur free"). With regard to the sulphur content two qualities are specified in this standard ("Heizöl extra leicht" and "Heizöl extra leicht - schwefelfrei"). "Heizöl extra leicht - schwefelfrei" is suitable only for the use in such burner systems for which an appropriate release has been provided by the burner manufacturers. In certain systems "Heizöl extra leicht - schwefelfrei" may be used alone according to the manufacturers specifications or local waste water regulations.
