Dach- und Abdichtungsbahnen gemäß Teil 1 dieser ÖNORM bestehen aus einem Glasvlies als Einlagematerial (Träger), das von Tränk- oder Deckmasse (Erdölbitumen) durchdrungen und beidseitig mit Deckmasse beschichtet und schließlich auf beiden Seiten mit feinkörnigen mineralischen Stoffen bestreut ist. Die wesentlichen Anforderungen sind: - Toleranzen für die Abmessungen - Flächenbezogene Masse (im Sprachgebrauch: Flächengewicht) - Dicke - Zugfestigkeit, Bruchdehnung - Biegsamkeit bei tiefen Temperaturen - Wärmebeständigkeit - Wasserdichtheit. Die Prüfmethoden, die zur Feststellung der geforderten Eigenschaften anzuwenden sind, sind in ÖNORM B 3646 Teile 1 bis 7 festgelegt. Die ÖNORM sieht eine Kennzeichnung gemäß § 3 Normengesetz 1971 vor.
