This Austrian Standard specifies requirements relating to the following additional cement characteristics: guaranteed C3A content; later setting start; limited fluctuation range of the fineness of grind; limited fineness of grind; limited heat release; limited bleeding, assured flexural bending strength; assured compressive strength after 1 day; guaranteed cement temperature when supplied. These requirements apply in addition to the requirements of ÖNORM EN 197-1. Further instructions for the selection of cement as a function of the concrete type are available from ÖNORM B 4710-1. As to the choice and use of cement, this Austrian Standard is to be applied jointly with ÖNORM B 4710-1.
