ÖNORM B 2607

This document contains information about concepts of play space as well as the planning of play and movement spaces in the open air. The outdoor play and exercise areas are for example: - in parks and green spaces, - on squares, streets and paths, - in residential complexes, - in commercial facilities (e.g. in the context of catering establishments), - for sports and leisure facilities, - in institutions of the social infrastructure (e.g. in schools, kindergartens, hospitals), - on temporarily available areas. The present document serves as a basis for the local spatial planning (creation of development plans, revision of the zoning and development plans) and for the planning of playgrounds. It also serves as the basis for a review and any modification of the relevant provisions in the spatial planning and children's playground laws. Technical information on play equipment and its installation can be found in ÖNORM EN 1176 (all parts) and ÖNORM EN 1177. Spaces for play and movement inside the building are not covered by this document.
