Product certifications
A certification from an independent certification body demonstrates the safety and quality of your product and instils trust in your organisation. It also gives you a competitive edge, as clients often require certification as a basic prerequisite for awarding contracts in tendering processes.
ÖNORM certified
ÖNORM-certified is a certification system for products with a proven track record over several decades. It is based on standards EN ISO/IEC 17065 and EN ISO/IEC 17067 (scheme type 3) and regulates the steps in the certification process for different products.
Obtaining the "ÖNORM-certified" certification for your products:

Prerequisite: Use of the product standard (ÖNORM, EN or ISO) including the requirements for the product and the test method.

Manufacturer submits application for "ÖNORM-certified" certification.

Samples are taken during ongoing production.

An accredited inspection body conducts an initial assessment of the product.

The accredited certification body at Austrian Standards verifies the inspection report and issues the certificate.

Monitoring: The certification is monitored by inspecting production and assessing the product at least once a year.
CE mark
By affixing the CE mark, the manufacturer declares that the product meets all applicable requirements of the harmonisation legislation and has successfully completed the conformity assessment procedure.
