Fire protection expert

Certified fire protection experts have competences and knowledge based on OIB Guideline 2 Fire Protection OIB-330.2-012/19.

The certification as a Fire Protection Expert:in is your proof that you are able to develop and carry out fire protection concepts, descriptions and assessments for various types of buildings and systems on the basis of standards. 

Please note that the competence profile of the ‘Fire Protection Expert:in’ personal certification is based on OIB Guideline 2 Fire Protection OIB-330.2-012/19 AND NOT on the requirements according to AStVO and TRVB 117 O (the requirements for the certified fire protection officer).
We do not currently offer the ‘certified fire safety officer’ certification.

Initial certification

  • Prerequisite: Proof of relevant professional training (at least 80 hours) or five years of practical experience
  • Oral examination with project presentation and knowledge assessment
  • The certificate is valid for five years
