Diese Richtlinie ist für die Ausbildung und Prüfung von Kunststoffgas- und -wasserrohrlegern zur Verlegung von Rohren und Rohrleitungsteilen aus Polyethylen (PE) und aus PVC anzuwenden. Eine Bescheinigung nach dieser Richtlinie berechtigt zur Verlegung von Gas- und Wasserrohrleitungen aus Polyethylen und PVC mit deren zugelassenen Verbindungstechniken. Die Verlegung von Kunststoffgasrohrleitungen aus PE erfolgt gemäß ÖVGW Richtlinien G 1/2, G 2/2, G 6, G 7, G 52/2, G 55 und G 56 sowie für solche aus PVC gemäß ÖVGW Richtlinie G 52/1. Die Verlegung von Wasserleitungen erfolgt nach dem vom Planer im Projekt festgelegten Richtlinien (z.B. ÖVGW-Richtlinie W 101, ÖNORM EN 805, ÖNORM B 2531, ÖNORM B 2538).
