Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen für automatisierte Ausrüstung zum elektrostatischen Beschichten mit entzündbarem Flock, der im Flockbereich explosionsfähige Atmosphäre entwickeln kann, fest. Für automatische elektrostatische Beschichtungsgeräte für entzündbarem Flock des Typs B-F, ist EN 50050-3 zusätzlich zu dieser Norm anzuwenden. Diese Europäische Norm spezifiziert auch die konstruktiven Anforderungen für den sicheren Betrieb der stationären Ausrüstungen von Flockkabinen einschließlich der elektrischen Installationen und des Zubehörs. Diese Europäische Norm behandelt alle signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen und gefährdenden Ereignisse, die auf Flockkabinen zutreffen, wenn sie bestimmungsgemäß und nach Angaben des Herstellers unter Berücksichtigung vorhersehbarer Fehlfunktion verwendet werden.
