Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen für mit der Hand gehaltene oder von der Hand geführte elektrostatische Sprüheinrichtungen für entzündbare Beschichtungspulver in einem Temperaturbereich von 5° C bis 40° C fest, die in explosionsfähiger Atmosphäre, die durch ihre eigene Sprühwolke erzeugt wird, verwendet werden. Diese Europäische Norm behandelt alle elektrischen Gefährdungen, die für den elektrostatischen Sprühauftrag von Beschichtungspulver, die auch geringe Mengen beigemengter Metallpartikel enthalten können, kennzeichnend sind, wenn unter Bedingungen, die der Hersteller vorgibt, gearbeitet wird. Hierzu gehören insbesondere Zündgefahren für die dabei entstehende explosionsfähige Atmosphäre.
