Diese ÖVE/ÖNORM gilt für elektrische Anlagen in Caravans und Motorcaravans, und ist für solche
elektrischen Stromkreise und Betriebsmittel anzuwenden, die für die Verwendung von Caravans zu Wohnzwecken vorgesehen sind.
Sie ergänzt, ändert oder ersetzt die allgemeinen Bestimmungen gemäß ÖVE-EN 1 Reihe bzw. ÖVE/ÖNORM E 8001 Reihe.
Die Anforderungen gelten nicht für die fahrzeugtypische elektrische Ausrüstung von Kraftfahrzeugen; elektrische Anlagen in Mobilheimen, Parkwohnheimen und transportablen Baueinheiten; Kleinspannungsanlagen (ELV) mit DC 12 V im Wohnbereich für bewohnbare Freizeitfahrzeuge. Für die Errichtung elektrischer Anlagen in transportablen Baueinheiten gelten die Anforderungen gemäß ÖVE/ÖNORM E 8001-4-717.
