ÖNORM S 5240-10

This Austrian Standard shall be used for the evaluation of acceptance testings in conjunction with ÖVE/ÖNORM EN 61223-3-1 of the following medical diagnostic X-ray equipment and auxiliary devices: Equipment for radiography (e.g. stationary X-ray system, mobile X-ray system, head X-ray system, chest X-ray system, tomography but excluding computertomography, cradle (spot-film device) in fluoroscopy devices, angigraphy (free from DSA function), cinematography), equipment in X-ray fluoroscopy including combined radiography and fluoroscopy. This Austrian Standard applies for the testing of the X-ray generation and auxiliary devices for digital systems. This Austrian Standard does not apply for the testing of the digital image acquisition and image processing at the diagnostic X-ray equipment mentioned above. For the acceptance testing of X-ray projection radiography devices with digital image receptor systems ÖNORM S 5240-18 has to be used additionally. This Austrian Standard does not apply for mammography X-ray equipment, for radiation therapy simulators and for dental X-ray equipment.
