Diese ÖNORM ist bei der Beurteilung von Altablagerungen oder Altstandorten in Hinblick auf Verunreinigungen
des Bodens anzuwenden.
Zweck dieser ÖNORM ist es, die Grundlagen für die Beurteilung von Untersuchungsergebnissen an Altablagerungen
oder Altstandorten sowie die daraus resultierende Abschätzung möglicher Auswirkungen auf den
Menschen und die Umwelt darzustellen, wobei insbesondere Verunreinigungen der obersten Bodenschichten
beurteilt werden.
Ziel der Beurteilung von Altablagerungen oder Altstandorten ist es, die Notwendigkeit von Maßnahmen (Dekontamination,
Sicherung, Beobachtung, Nutzungsbeschränkung) festzustellen. Die Erhaltung und Wiederherstellung
des Bodens als Lebensgrundlage und Lebensraum für Menschen, Tiere und Pflanzen sowie als
Bestandteil des Naturhaushaltes, insbesondere mit seinen Wasser- und Nährstoffkreisläufen, muss langfristig
sichergestellt werden.
