In der Vergangenheit wurde im Umgang mit umwelt- und gesundheitsgefährdenden Stoffen eine Vielzahl von Verunreinigungen des Untergrundes verursacht. Diese ÖNORM beschreibt die Vorgangsweise bei der zusammenfassenden Darstellung und Bewertung der Gefahren, die von einer Altablagerung oder von einem Altstandort für das Schutzgut Grundwasser ausgehen. Diese Gefährdungsabschätzung bildet die Grundlage für die Auswahl der ökologisch notwendigen Maßnahmen zur Gefahrenminderung bzw. Gefahrenbehebung. Diese ÖNORM ist Teil der Normenserie ÖNORM S 2085 bis ÖNORM S 2090.
