Eine ökologisch, technisch und wirtschaftlich sinnvolle Abstimmung von hydrogeologisch und geotechnisch klassifizierten Standorten und Deponiebauklassen sowie der Bewertung des Gefährdungspotentials abzulagernder Abfälle ist die Voraussetzung für die Errichtung sicherer Deponien und Abfallager auf Zeit. Diese ÖNORM beschreibt die Erdarbeiten im Deponiebau sowie die ergänzenden geotechnischen Erkundungen des Untergrundes. Es werden darin die geotechnischen Untersuchungen, die erdbautechnischen Anforderungskriterien für den Untergrund, das Deponierohplanum, die mineralischen Basisdichtungen, die Sickerschichte, die Schlußabdichtung und die Erdbauwerke behandelt.
