ÖNORM M 6222

This ÖNORM specifies requirements for the quality of bathing water in whirl and hygiene-related equipment, and the hygiene-relevant operation. Whirlpool tubs in accordance with this ÖNORM are provided for the intended use by one person. The information contained in this ÖNORM applies to whirlpools, which are operated in hospitals and convalescent homes, nursing facilities, bathing facilities accommodation establishments, community facilities and public and private buildings. For whirlpool tubs that are filled in the context of medical applications, for instance with thermal water, higher requirements than described in standard should be applied in special indiviual cases. Safety requirements for whirlpool baths (with the exception of use by kids and toddlers and handicapped people) are defined in OVE / EN 60335-2-60 ÖNORM.
