Diese ÖNORM legt Anforderungen an die Planung, die Errichtung und den Betrieb zur Verhütung von Korrosionsschäden und Ablagerungen in geschlossenen Kaltwasser- und Kühlwassersystemen fest. Diese ÖNORM ist für neu zu errichtende Anlagen anzuwenden und enthält Hinweise zur Vermeidung von Korrosion und Schlammbildung bei Altanlagen. Sie gilt für geschlossene Kaltwassersysteme für Klimaanlagen und industrielle Anwendungen anzuwenden. Werden vom Gerätehersteller oder vom Erzeuger der Komponenten über die Anforderungen dieser ÖNORM hinausgehende Festlegungen getroffen, sind diese einzuhalten. Für Systeme in denen Glykol enthalten ist, gilt Teil 2 dieser ÖNORM.
