Die Norm ist für alle Heizungsanlagen, die mit Wasser oder Wassergemischen betrieben werden, anzuwenden. Sie beschreibt die schallschutztechnischen Maßnahmen im Sinne der ÖNORMB8115-2 und beschäftigt sich mit folgenden Aufgaben: - Kennzeichnung der Geräuschsituation in den Aufstellungsräumen von Wärmebereitstellungssystemen (Heizräumen) - Festlegung der Anforderungen an den baulichen Schallschutz - Angaben von Maßnahmen zur Lärmminderung bei der Konstruktion, Projektierung und Aufstellung von neuen Anlagen sowie zur Verbesserung des Schallschutzes von bestehenden Anlagen. Somit werden nicht nur die Ursachen, sondern auch die Behebung von störenden Geräuschen beschrieben.
