This ÖNORM defines uniform minimum requirements for a gas extinguishing system as well as the interaction of all components.
The requirements of this ÖNORM apply to all combinations of individual components of gas extinguishing systems that are suitable for extinguishing a fire in the area to be protected by lowering the oxygen content of the ambient air or by introducing chemical gases. Peripheral devices that do not directly serve this purpose must be able to be connected at least without any retroactive effects, unless further requirements are listed below.
This ÖNORM regulates neither the components of a gas extinguishing system required for the detection of a fire, nor the various necessary controls that are not directly related to warning devices and control of extinguishing systems.
