Diese ÖNORM beschreibt ein Verfahren zur Vorbereitung und Lagerung einer Probe zur Bestimmung der Topfzeit. Die Topfzeit wird durch Messung einer speziellen Eigenschaft beurteilt. Das Verfahren kann durchgeführt werden - als "ja/nein-Prüfung" durch Bestimmung der speziellen Eigenschaft nach einer festgelegten Zeitdauer, oder - als Bestimmung der Topfzeit durch mehrmalige Wiederholung der Prüfung in geeigneten Zeitabständen. Diese ÖNORM ist nicht für eine "in situ"-Kontrolle von Produkten während ihrer Verarbeitung, sondern für die Ermittlung der Topfzeit im Laboratorium vorgesehen.
