Diese Norm legt ein empirisches Prüfverfahren zum Bewerten der Widerstandsfähigkeit von Beschichtungen aus Beschichtungsstoffen wie Lacken, Anstrichstoffen oder ähnlichen Produkten gegen Rissbildung und/oder Ablösen von einem Substrat aus Metall oder Kunststoff fest, wenn dieses unter Normbedingungen um einen zylindrischen Dorn gebogen wird. Bei einem Mehrschichtsystem kann jede Schicht für sich allein oder das gesamte System geprüft werden.
